I agree. At my company, we try hard to promote the idea of effective collaboration, only to find those business people who don't think they need it, or don't need the news ways of collaboration and revert back to un-trackable emails and ineffective meetings. Working together on a project in an open source format or other needs to have effective collaboration skills and tolls integrated with it, or it won't be as high quality.
